Im not having the typical party. My moh is 16 so we decided to do something different. Were going to spend a day in a historic town doing antique shopping, visiting historical sites, having eats, and just spending time in the downtown area. Its a beautiful town called galena, its in il. Were also going to go to a medium, maybe a tarot card reader. I think itll be fun and different. So im just wearing normal cloth, maybe a sash atmost for bachelorette stuff.

Aww that sounds fun, dluberts! I've never been to Galena, but I've seen pictures and looks like a fun place to go.

My first shower is on March 15 and I still haven't found anything to wear yet. I know it will probably still be cold, but I had really been thinking I would wear a sundress...I wanted to buy a new one too, but haven't found any in stores yet. I even tried the huge Macy's on State Street in Chicago and didn't see any I liked, so I'll probably just wear one I already have. It happens to be white with a floral print, but you should wear whatever you like!

Thanks @mrsaitch! I know it probably sounds weird but I truly believe in paranormal things. Two of the most important people in my life have passed, one very recently, and I feel that im missing out on them being there for my big day. Maybe if I try a medium theyll come through for me, idk, ive never gone to one before. It would be nice to make that connection though.

My signature color is black. No matter what, I always find myself gravitating toward black outfits! I had my first bridal shower a couple weeks ago and wore a black boucle dress. My bachelorette party is the first weekend in April. We're actually doing a weekend. I know one night we are going out to some shows and clubs so I bought a fun black, sequin dress with a little heart cutout in the back to wear. I'm not sure what I'll be wearing the rest of the weekend, but I'm sure it'll have some black!

Don't know yet. Probably a maxi dress, no clue for bach. party
No.
Personal preference. I don't wear white often, so a white dress is just going to go unworn most likely.

I can't be the only one who was in a sorority who can't handle wearing a plain white sundress anymore--all I think of is ritual!

I have pretty good skin tone, so I wear white on occasion if I have it. I have two weeks and am like oops, dropped the ball.

The boucle dress I bought a while ago at Neiman Marcus, it's Laundry by Shelli Segal. The sequin bachelorette dress was a lucky find from Zulily.

@omargotz I've been looking for a cute dress for the rehearsal and found some super cute stuff at Boden and Lily Pulitzer that would work as super cute shower dresses. Maybe you'll have luck there!

I just ordered a dress for my shower and got it in the mail and it doesn't fit I'm sending it back today so now I'm not sure what I'm wearing. It was light blue with a white lace overlay though. I will probably look for something springy, but my shower isn't until the end of March so hopefully it won't be cold.

I haven't thought about my bach party yet. It's not until May 3 so I have some time. 

I would wear white if you want to.

I'm pretty sure I am having a "surprise" bridal shower. FH keeps dropping hints and then finally, one of his cousins from out of state e-mailed me last week saying "I'm sorry but I can't make it to your bridal shower!" I was like, ummm... I didn't realize I was having one, but OK! So, I kinda have to be prepared to look cute at all times in the next few weeks in case it's shower day! 

For the bachelorette party, we are going to a Tiki Bar on an island in the Chesapeake Bay, so I plan on wearing a maxi dress, sandals, and maybe a shorter, more flirty black dress for the evening.

@klburke88 - Ditto! My shower is a (mandatory) surprise party from my mom & MOH, so I have no idea when or where...I mean I kinda have an idea of when cuz FI is really bad at faking ("Oh, hey, so whats up with the bridal shower? Do I stay? Do I even come? Do you open the gifts then? How are you getting there?" really babe?!?! he knows more than me that's for sure and he's bad at playing dumb!).

I have to have my bach and shower same day so my out of town brides maid can be there!!!

I ordered this for  shower  so far.

and this in ivory for bachlorette party but im kind of thinking about ordering it in pink instead....

Haven't thought of it yet but I'd like something white and glittery, or even a gold of champagne sequin dress. We are going to San Diego and it's all a surprise for me

@dluberts I've been to Galena, and its awesome!  It sounds like a lot of fun!

My shower is April 6.  That is all I know. Oh and my mom is coming into town for it.  You all just reminded me that I would need a dress for that...I'm not a dress girl, so this will be interesting.  Guess I better start that internet search now....

My batch "party" will be at Wrigley Field...so no dressing up there

I don't think you have to wear white, but I feel like if I don't now I probably never will

I got a J. Crew bridesmaids dress for my shower in champagne, and am still searching but thinking of a fun lacy/glittery/short dress for my bachelorette. I vowed to only get them in white if they were under a certain price point, b/c as PP said: I probably won't wear them again (or at least not often).
