Preface this by saying all that are coming to my wedding are our parents, our kids and maybe a friend or two.
So the ceremony starts at 2pm and will last maybe a half hour then we'll follow it by a light snack and dessertreception where FI and I will do the cake and our first dance but no other wedding trappings, this is done at the ceremony place. Following that we have reservations for all our guests for a very nice dinner at a local restaurant. This is not the reception just a nice dinner that we are hosting for our guests. We want to dothis because our guests will be driving roughly an hour to see us wed.
is this ok etiquette wise? We are still covering the cost of dinner and everything. In the invite we are also including a card which says "please join us at x restaurant at x:xx for dinner - address and phone of restaurant"
