Help! Can't Find a Minister

Hi,

I've been searching for a minister for our August wedding in the suburbs of Chicago, to no avail (we had one minister double-book us!)  Does anyone have any website recommendations or minister recommendations?  I come from a Catholic family but am not tied to the religion, and my fiance is Christian.  Any recommendations are super welcome!

I assume you know that no Catholic priest will marry you outside of a Catholic church, and that you will no longer be able to receive communion after you marry outside of the church?
There are many churches in Chicago.  I would start calling.  United Methodist ministers are usually open to marrying people outside of their own congregation.

@megrmc We are using Rev. Tom http://www.celebrate-your-love.com. We also spoke to Father Ron and really liked him http://www.marriedcatholicpriests.net/revron.html. Both are in the Chicago suburbs and were super friendly and had great ceremony ideas!

Ditto @CMGragain. If you're Catholic and you want to keep practising, you will need to be married by a Catholic priest in the Rite of Marriage.

If you don't plan to practise and you don't plan to raise your children Catholic, it's immaterial.

Google 'ministers Chicago area' and see what results you get.

A friend of mine used a website --- I think it was called ministers.com or something. Her minister ended up being wonderful!

We saw Rev Tom's site and very nearly called him!

This. We're looking for non-religious but there are tons of great options for all preferences on Craigslist. I'm in Chicago too and have seen an overwhelming number of options.
