    Look, we all know that the only REAL sport that's important is baseball.

  • Welcome! I wish I could contribute something to the football discussion (from Chi but live in Wi currently--but unfortunately don't follow either team!).

    However I saw margaritas and I already like you! :)
  • @phira I just want to say...GO YANKEES!  (with so much love, haha.)  And GO ORIOLES, because I dunno I'm being converted by FI and it's disappointing.  Needless to say, those red sox?  I can't deal.  I especially can't deal with NESN broadcasts (NJ has raised me right, haha)

    But yes, can we have a margaritas G2G asap?  Well maybe after the wedding.  But I want a margarita dangit

    @twodimes, you stole my heart at football and hockey. Lets run away together and just watch them all the time. With tasty treats.

    @brerhodes you are not alone in your Dallas fandom! My H is a Cowboys fan as well. @swazzle doesn't appreciate him either.

  • Sports teams in ATL have been awful and the only people who like them are the ATL natives. I will cheer on the Falcons and Braves as long as I live even though they break my heart constantly.
  • This is all I have to say about baseball.Salty-celebration

    @BriSox81 *high five*

    @Blue one of my college friends was from Western CT and grew up watching the Yankees on YES. Before coming to college in Boston, he didn't realize how biased FOX baseball coverage was because Joe Fuck and Tim McStupid pretty much sounded like really annoying Yankees commentators. When he came to Boston and watched NESN, he figured it out.

    Also, the Os have one of the best ballparks I've been to. I love Camden Yards.

  • @phira I love Camden Yards.  And MASN (Os/Nats) broadcasters.  YES drives me nuts but at least they know the names of the Orioles.  The NESN announcers didn't even know the regular Orioles names the other day.  Drove me nuts :)  <--this should really be in @BriSox81's First World Problems thread, lol

    Also, I remember when the YES network was new.

    We are paying like $200 to get the baseball channels this year because we're not local to anyone...except maybe the marlins?  Or the rays...And if mlb.tv thinks we're local to the rays, we won't get their games against the Os or Yanks.  How rude.

    @Blue I would totally give MLB.tv all my money to watch the Sox (we don't have our TV hooked up to anything, so no channels at all), but because we live in Boston, we're blacked out the whole time.

  • Baseball? BLEH. Talk about boring.

  • @swazzle I agree not a baseball fan especially since FI isn't either.

  • Though I will admit I went to an MLB game late last summer and it was pretty awesome. In the experience, that is. And the hometown team won (they don't do that very often).

    I definitely enjoy a live game, and the Twins have that fancy new Target Field, so it's a blast! I don't watch it much  unless the bf has it on tv.
