NWR-Which Firefly quote should we use for engraving an Ipad.

Firefly means a lot to us (we bonded over watching the episodes) so after discussing it, we have made that decision. We just can't decide which on we like better. The quote has to be 32 characters or under.

I wouldn't get the iPad engraved...  Those still have an after market value when you are done with them and it could make it harder to resell or trade it in.

Can you find a cover that you can engrave?  If so I vote for "I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar.".

I wasn't planning on getting it engraved but as we were on the phone with the apple rep (gift cards-long story) she mentioned that her last customer got a Dr Who quote engraved on it and you could see Fi's eyes light up at that. He really wants it engraved.

Damn, now I wish I had "Allons-y" engraved on the Ipod Nano I just ordered.

Totally get "Engraving is for losers" engraved in your Ipad. That's awesome.

Words of wisdom, though. When my fiance purchased his first developer-grade Android device- the HTC Nexus 1- a few years back, they offered free engraving. He got Arnold Schwarzenegger engraved because he thought he was the best badass to personify his phone.

Well, then he got caught having an affair and his life fell apart and he couldn't sell the phone to save his life! Now that he's back doing goofy commercials, maybe the value has rebounded. I don't know.

If it were me, I'd go with "Can't stop the signal".  Of course, I associate Mr. Universe with electronics.

I voted for leaf on the wind because Wash is awesome.  "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal" is also great.  

By the way, since you and your FI seem to be as huge fans as FI and I, did you know Dark Horse comics is continuing the series?  There's one called "Shepard's tale" which tells you the AWESOME back story of Shepard Book (If you're like us you've been dying to know XD.)  "Those left behind" and "Better days" fill in some of the story within Firefly and Serenity, but we recently purchased "Leaves on the Wind" and it picks up RIGHT WHERE SERENITY LEFT OFF.  There are a few more issues in print but I haven't gotten my hands on them yet.  Check the amazing artwork!

For my ex's 40th birthday, I had his Nano engraved with a saying which meant a LOT to him.  But, he wasn't the type to trade in to trade up, and he can be sentimental. 

I agree with a PP that "Shiny" would be GREAT to have engraved on it.

@haileydancingbear-I already own all the graphic novels ( I also have Buffy and Angel, but that's another thread). I don't know if you are a gamer, but they are coming out with an online Firefly game. (link)

Meh, I think engraving's fine as long as you aren't the kind of person that changes devices like their underwear. I use my stuff until it won't work anymore. FI would want to sell it the second a new ipad came out, so it wouldn't be a good idea for him.

My vote is definitely you can't take the sky from me!
