Purple and Black lace Bridesmaid dresses?

I would love to have Bridemaids dress with purple and black lace. Has anyone done this or seen pics of real weddings with this? I don't want it to look like too much and I haven't been able to find dresses for the girls to try on in this combo. I also want it to look elegant not trashy. I would love 5 different dresses but don't want to be too picky.

I think that combo (along with black lace over any other color) can look pretty lingerie-esque so you'd have to be very careful about the cut/style/makeup/accessories/flowers/etc so it doesn't give a trashy vibe. Could totally work, but I think it's risky. I prefer tone-on-tone or lighter colored lace.

I like the lace overlay. Since it's visually busy, I think I would keep the girls in the same dress, assuming they liked it and it was in budget for them. Also, because it's unique, I think you might have a hard time finding 5 different styles with a lace overlay.

With that type of dress is think it would look better if all the girls were in the same dress.
