How is your Saturday night?

Re: How is your Saturday night?

  • I'm here! I slept so freaking much last night, got very little productive stuff done today, but had a super awesome dinner with FI (he even got a certificate for doing great work with his group, yay!). I accidentally took a 2 hour nap after we got home so now I'm wide awake. Ugh.

  • Good morning! ! I woke up a half hour ago because my body doesn't really let me sleep in that much anymore so I'm knotting while DH is sleeping here in bed.

I took a 2 hour nap and that let me stay up to watch The Wolf of Wall Street. We enjoyed the movie and holy nudity batman! I felt like I was watching a modern Goodfellas.

Good morning ladies! (Sunday already here...) It's a gorgeous sunny day, but I am stuck inside working (deadline are my enemy right now). I am obviously procrastinating, computer open, work organized around me, but I am knotting instead.

Yesterday, FI got home from a business trip. He cooked an amazing dinner using a recipe of Goop's famous cook book (It's all good). Although I may not be fan of GP the person, her recipes are downright awesome. The filet mignon recipe requires a sauce of EVOO, rosemary and anchovies which was yumyumyum. After, we indulged on some carrotcake while watching the series finals of The Borgias. *tear* Cesare Borgia is certainly eye-candy and I liked the show in general so it was bittersweet to know it was the last episode and there will be no new ones.

So, today is composed of me "working", soon FI and I will cook lunch/dinner (spaghetti alle vongole) or spaghetti with clams. Can't wait for that. Tonight, I think we will finally start to watch House of Cards Season 2. We haven't started it because we were really into The Borgias and I didn't want to have too many series going on at once.

    Happy Sunday!

  • Morning ladies (and gents).

I forgot about the time change.  Kind-of threw me off when it was still dark.

I have exciting plans to go to Office Depot of a new desk and chair for my new office.   I'm also picking up supplies for a DIY project for Dad's party.   DH says he isn't going into work until after 1pm.  Hopefully that means he will join me on the exciting trip to Office Depot.

  • FI and I went to one of his friends house last night and played The Resistance and Betrayal at the House On The Hill.

    Good stuff.

Now I'm working. And shoving a doughnut in my mouth.

  • Just had lunch, it was delicious. Now, I'm contemplating a nap before work or just powering through to finish earlier and be able to relax. Decisions, decisions...

    I like naps.

Well it looks like I might not have to go to Office Depot.  Apparently the items I want are  on backorder.  Which is strange, because online it says it's available.  I have to wait till they open to see.

Good news though.  I waited until today to buy the stuff because all the items went on sail today.  Well this morning, the chair was not listed on sale.  I double checked the flyer and found there are 2 ads for the chair.  One on page 6 for $249.99 the other on page 15 for $349.99. The website listed the non-sale price.  Same item number.      Guess which priced I ended up paying?

  • Lynda, gotta love a sale! I'm sure that flyer save you $100. Score.
  • Yesterday I worked 12:30-9:00pm, so I just came home and snuggled and slept.

Today, Sunday, is my day off! Fi and I are going to Santa Barbara for for delicious fried fish and the zoo!
  • I've got a lot of Uni work to do today.  Last night was our bid competition for cheer.  We didn't do so well, actually our worst routine of the year, but we still managed to grab our bid to the World Championships again.  Our cheer was one of relief.  So, I'm back to Worlds at the end of April again this year.  We've got some work to do is we want to make finals, that's for sure

  • Just had breakfast (slept in until 10am!) and now headed off to campus to get homework done. I need to find coffee somewhere, just haven't decided where.

ummmm I may have slept in some kind of ridiculous late (even without taking the time change into consideration). J is dying less, which is an improvement.
