the invitation suite

What exactly should I include in my invitation suite? I am in the process of ordering. I need outside envelope, invitation, envelope for invitation, rsvp, envelope for rsvp card and reception card. Let me know.

Re: the invitation suite

  • Hard to tell since I don't know your situation, but maybe directions or a link to a website. Other than that, it sounds good.

You don't need an inner envelope, just one external envelope and one envelope for the rsvp card.  The inner envelope is superfluous.  If you are having the reception at a site other than the ceremony location, you need the reception card.  However if it is at the same place as the ceremony, you can skip the reception card and just put "reception to follow" on the invitation.  You could also include a small insert with your wedding website and password if you have one.
  • I don't understand your question.  We need more information about your wedding.  Give us a sample wording.

CMGragain She isn't asking about wording. She's just asking about which pieces she needs to include with her invitation suite, e.g. outer envelope. invitation, RSVP + envelope, etc.

OP I'm going to echo PPs and say that to help you better we need a little more information. When I ordered my invitations I got the invitation itself, an outer envelope for the invitation, an RSVP card +envelope, and a reception card that I printed hotel information on the back of. I only needed the reception card because my ceremony and reception locations were different.

  • Maybe a belly band or a pocket invite thing to hold everything together.  Or an accommodation, transportation, or information card of some sort.

  • Other than what you have listed I also included a map in my invitations, but it was because the address of the parking lot is different than the address of the venue. If your venue is easy to get to you probably don't need a map.

  • Okay, thanks this helps. Ceremony and reception site are at 2 different locations. So therefore I will do my own insert that has direction on it. But I think what i am hearing is invitation, response card with envelope, reception card and that should do it. Thanks.
