This didn't really bother me so much as make me question if it's okay or not.
I got an invitation to my friend's baby shower and checked out her registries. Both registries have a note at the top that says, "Please include gift receipts in case of duplicates. Thanks!"
I've never seen that on a registry before. I always include a gift receipt, but I know others don't, and that's how people end up with three crock pots and two food processors.

Anyway, I can see why she'd want people to include them, but is it okay to request it point-blank like that?
Like I said, it didn't really bother me at all, but it sounds like it's crossing that line of telling your guests what to do. To me, it's sort of like saying, "Be sure to show up on time!"
Thoughts?
