Wedding Year 2014

Just wanted someone to sympathize for me about all these weddings and stuff I have this year.

March 15-FSIL #1 wedding shower

March 30-FSIL#2 wedding shower

April 5-My brother's wedding

(I am sure I will be invited to thieir 2 bachelorette parties as well)

May 31-fiance's brother's wedding

June 7-friend from high school wedding

July 17-fiance's best friend's wedding

August-my shower (yay)

September - my bachelorette party

October-OUR WEDDING

I need a nap just thinking about it!

And I thought my year was nuts!

Two of my cousins (same side of the family) are getting married this year. So I've got a shower and bachelorette party to attend during the spring and early summer for my cousin who's local. Her wedding is in the summer, and then my other cousin is getting married 2000 miles away three weeks before my wedding in the fall.

I'm super excited, but I think I'm going to spend 2015 in a coma.

So far we just have one 2014 wedding: FBIL.

So far this year the only wedding I have to go to is mine. Lol. I do sympathize though. I've had years like that.

Yikes! Sounds expensive, but still fun! So far this year I have my friends wedding shower and wedding, and another wedding 2 months later. And that's enough for me! lol

Ugh, so much sympathy! Hopefully you'll have a lot of fun at the weddings!

A few years ago, I had 3 weddings within a 4 week period with all the showers/parties/bachelorettes that go along with them in a very short time frame. While I was also interviewing heavily for jobs (2-6 interviews/week). By the end of that year, I wanted to crawl into a hole and never ever come out again. I'm an extrovert, but that was just too much even for me!

Wow, that's crazy (in a good way)!  At least you can get ideas of things you like and don't like for your own festivities from going to all these other ones in advance.

I forgot to mention I am officiating my brother's wedding. Other than that I am only a guest at all the others THANK GOODNESS!!

I just found out my brother's fiance's sister is getting married in September. I may be invited to her wedding. I kind of hope I am not.

Wowza! That is a lot of weddings but i sympathize with you! Although I really wish people would start getting married again so I could attend weddings cus I love them.

I sympathize with you! This year for me:

June: best friend's shower

July: best friend's bachorlette

July: FSIL shower

August: FSIL bachlorette

September 13: best friend's wedding

September: our couple's shower

October 11: FSIL wedding

November: my bridal luncheon (mom's side of family)

December: our wedding shower (dad's side of family)***

December 27: OUR WEDDING! Ending the year with a BANG!

***I know, too many showers! But my parents are divorced and the family does not mix well. And my FSIL wants to throw my FI and I a shower. That one is basically a stock the bar shower with people bringing us alcohol and glasses. Pretty much a big party.***

I completely sympathize. This year is mellow for me but next year will be insane.

MOH in my friends wedding in May 2015, my own wedding in June or July (haven't finalized yet), MOH in another friends Sept/Oct wedding. So showers, bachelorette parties, etc for the 3 of us.

Also have my cousins wedding to attend in August and going to my friend's sister's wedding in April.

I'm going to my coworker's reception in April (she said I could go to the wedding, but feel free to skip it - it's Catholic and I hear those are long so I'll probably skip it, lol), then my sister's wedding that I'm a BM in August...then next April is my wedding, and then my BFF's sister decided she's getting married in May.  I'll be glad for all the madness to be over.

My year is crazy too! Weddings in May, June, July, August, and September, and OUR wedding in October. I've already told them all that I can't afford to go to the showers/bachelorettes as well as the actual wedding weekends. Oy.

Yeah, I have 8 weddings plus our own. I told FI that we either need to buy a plane or start turning down invitations. We are fortunate that we can afford to attend, but I would hate to decline any of them!

My year is not nearly as crazy as your but I understand. I had a year or two like that. The only two weddings I have this year are mine and my sisters and they are 5 months apart.
