- I got laid off last Monday. I knew it was coming. It still sucks, but what can you do. I got a week's severance. I've been looking, but a lot of what I'm finding are full time jobs, which I hate the thought of. However, I figure the extra money will allow us to do a bit more fun things with the kids. I had an interview yesterday for what seems like a good opportunity and I wore my purple.
- DH has a phone interview for his dream job today or tomorrow. He's so excited, and it sounds like the opportunity will be perfect for him, with one small consideration. The position is 2 hours away by car, so H will be gone M-Th and come home Friday. However, the salary would basically be double what he's making now. He's always traveled so much, so I'm used to it. I'd be doing the bulk of the childcare, but I would also be able to be a SAHM. Please send lots of purple vibes. Another great thing is that the position is closer to Disney and H could meet us there for a weekend.
- My old boss is trying to get me to work with him, but is not able to pay me a salary. It would be a partnership, sharing our proceeds. He's about 5 years or so from retiring fully, so what I think is that I would eventually get the keys to the kingdom. I have mixed feelings on this. On the chance that DH gets that job, it would be something I'd be interested in working on a couple of days per week.
