I basically watching the kids who don't get to go on the field trip today. Babysitting the detention room. I'm so bored, lets talk weddings. Here is a run down of what we have planned so far, would love any input/opinions. (Its ok, you won't hurt my feelings)
Getting married July 23. We originally invited 40 but are settling for 60 invitees. I think we will have 20-40 guest. A couple friends are preggers and won't becomeing and I know some family members probably won't be able to come for a vareity of reasons.
We are having a basic wedding ceremony at Aria, we aren't doing any upgrdes because I love the chapel and am a big less is more type of gal. My FI has this weird this against wedding attendants. He wants it to be jsut the two of us taking our vows, so we won't have and gm or bm. NBD to me, I only cared taht my dad would be able to walk down the aisle and he said of course.
I have my dress (woohoo)! I can't decide on shoes and jewelery to go with.
With the wedding package we have the chapel for 1 1/2, I liked aria because there is only one chapel and there is a lounge room available for guest to sit and wait in. I was thinking of adding some champagne or wine there for guests while they are waiting. We will be taking pictures with cashman only for the wedding and the rest will be done by a family member who is a photographer. Im a little worried because dinner is at 6 so there is a gap, but that is the time that was available for the private room at Wicked spoon. We choose wicked spoon because we have all kinds of dietary issues and requests (gluten free, egg and milk and nut allergies, vegans...) So I felt everyone could get something here. I hope so at least.
Afterwards, I was thinking of getting a party bus for about 3 hours, maybe around 9 so that people could get dressed in their night life clothes. We would go to the Vegas sign first and I love the idea of having an Elvis impersonator there for a meet and greet, sing a song or few lyrics to my grandma (she was totally the crazy screaming fan when she was younger and is still Elvis crazy) Then hop back on the bus for bellagio fountains and a few other pictures depending on time. Have the bus dropp off those people who don't want to hit the clubs, and the rest of us go to a club that night. Depending on our group size I may get bottle service. But we are trying to keep a reasonably budget.
If you were a guest, would you enjoy this? My FI is worried that I am trying to plan too much, he wants to ensure people have time to do what they want. I figure, its vegas and its one night. I think most of our friends adn family will be happy if we keep feeding them and providing alcohol. Plus, a 3 hour party bus would be done by midnight and thats early in vegas time.
I could be going a little crazy, with nervous energy. I always need to be doing something and there is really nothing to be doing/planning right now.
