I'm totally fangirling right now *NWR*

Elzabe Zietsman just replied to a tweet of mine!

Fangirling

Excited

I'm totally Fangirling

Zietsie is this totally fabulous South African cabaret performer. She's in her 50s, she's battled cancer and alcoholism, and she is just completely incredible. FI and I were lucky enough to get tickets to one of two shows she did here in the village in 2012 and it was absolutely amazing. We were very upset that the tickets we got were to the second show - if we'd gone to the first show, we would have bought tickets for the second show as well!

Seriously, if I was going to have any live music for the wedding, she would be it.

But I can't afford to hire her, so instead I stalk her on the Twitters.

Anyone have any fangirl experiences to share?

  • I got pretty excited when the author of a book I love Tweeted at me, not gonna lie. The book is 'This Is Your Brain On Music,' by Daniel J. Levitin.

That's awesome! I posted a photo of my Wawa coffee on Instagram and Wawa liked it. I about died. For those poor individuals who don't know what Wawa is, it's heaven on Earth, a magical convenience store/gas station/fast food restaurant in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
  • lol - Bridget Marquardt mentioned my name back in a comment I made on one of her FB posts asking about haunted places.  I always thought she was adorable and am glad she's not with creepy ass Hugh Hefner any more!

  • I was super excited when RuPaul replied to me. And I have gotten 3 replies from Chris Mann from The Voice. My ultimate fangirling moment on twitter was when my friend and I were on the set of Sons of Anarchy and went for coffee with Theo Rossi. He took a pic of the three of us and tweeted it. He tagged us in it too!

  • ^ Juice!!!  I loved him!  Up until this past season and especially the season finale this past season.

  • He lives in my town and is filming a movie here. He is unbelievably nice.
He is much taller than he seems on the show. They made him a bit weepy in the last two seasons but we shall see what happens.

@emmyg65 WAWA!  Now that we live in North Jersey we are too far away from Wawa territory in South Jersey.  Fi and I keep saying if we just opened up a Wawa in Jersey City, we'd be millionaires pretty soon.  It's just impossible to explain the magic to someone who's never been in one.  Like explaining a rainbow to a blind person.

"I'm not a rude bitch.  I'm ten rude bitches in a large coat."

  • I'm such a fangirl when celebs I follow tweet/retweet/follow me. Ching-he Huang follows me AND has replied to my tweets. Simon Majumdar replies to me a lot on Facebook. I've had a few NFLers and sportscasters retweet and respond to me. The one that got me the most was when Elizabeth Arden, the cosmetics company, started following me. Like, what? Little ol' me?! lol

We live in the glorious Venn diagram where Wegmans (grocery store) territory overlaps with Wawa. I can never move.

I'm from CT and my mom was all like, "Is Wawa really that great?" YES.

I HATE Gemma with a passion, so him aligning with her just killed me!  LOL

  • I fangirled meeting author Jen Lancaster. I've met her three times now and every woman at her signings are desperate to be her BFF.

I also fangirl over Fabrice Calmels, who is a principle dancer at Chicago's Joffrey Ballet. He makes it pretty easy to stalk him via Instagram (like "I'm ice skating at Millennium Park!") but I haven't stooped so low.... yet.

I have friends from Jersey and they are ALL about the Wawa. I would be SO happy if they started expanding into NY. I have Wegmans and that alone is my reason to never leave this place. I honestly do not know what I would do without Wegmans. It is glorious.
  • I once got a reply tweet from Heather Brewer (a YA fiction writer).

.... and a YouTube gamer, lol. But that's about it.

  • I've met one of my favorite composers, Eric Whitacre, twice. The second time, HE REMEMBERED ME!!!! I about died.
