silver sky chapel

I've just stumbled across the pictures of this venue and it looks lovely. I know the casino itself is tired and undergoing a lot of changes.
Does anyone have any reviews on this venue please?

Re: silver sky chapel

  • We were married there in October. The chapel is beautiful, and they have several colors of uplighting you can choose from. I absolutely LOVED the chairs, and they have several variations of aisle decorations. We chose to have the shepherd hooks with candles and then flower petals along the edge of the aisle runner. You can also have them draw the curtains over the photograph of the skyline if you want. We left it because we liked that vintage Vegas feel. We also had white uplighting, as our colors were red, white, and black (the red uplighting made it look like a bordello, which was awesome, but no).

Our coordinator went through the packages with us and tailored everything to our liking. We ended up paying about $400 to change a few things here and there, like the flowers, and it was worth it. They're receptive to ideas and will work with you. When we were married, they allowed us to pay a fee to have our own photographer, but I'm not sure if they allow that anymore.

Most of our guests stayed with us at The Flamingo, as it's near The Quad and much nicer. Some chose to stay at The Quad since it was a bit cheaper, but I didn't care for their rooms. They still have that tacky Imperial Palace look. Normally, I wouldn't care, but for our wedding week, I wanted something a bit nicer. We stayed in the Vista Suite the night before and after the reception so we'd have time to decorate and clean up, but we stayed at The Flamingo the rest of the time.
  • Thanks for the reviews! I am going to go check it out tomorrow.
