Big wedding, Big venue, Little budget

We both have very large, close families which is making our guest list ~300 (and hopefully not growing). Recommendations for reception sites in Madison that can support that many and be cost efficient...good to work with and beautiful wouldn't hurt either?

I have looked into a few places that weren't that expensive and could hold a lot of people. I can't remember what it is called again but the Goodman Park, on the westside it rather cheap. I am looking into the Badger Barn, it's about $750 to rent, and you can bring your own alcohol and food.

I am not sure what your budget is; but the Masonic Center downtown can hold that many people...and its gorgeous :-)
I updated my bio on 06/24/10, however if you want to see my planning bio you have to go to www.lizardlipsplanningbio.weebly.com because I am having a hard time making it clicky!

Thanks - I'm going to check them out! We also have a lot of out of town guests...so close hotels are important, too.

The Monona Terrace can definitely hold all of your geusts, but it is probably too expensive.

I looked into the East Side Club and remembered them being reasonable, but I don't remember how many people it seats.
