Can you really be your own officiants?

I was looking at the WI marriage statues today  in the statues is gives a list of possiable officiants this is what is says.. The 2 parties themselves, by mutual declarations that they take each other as husband and wife, in accordance with the customs, rules and regulations of any religious society, denomination or sect to which either of the parties may belong.  Just wondering if anyone has looked into this at all? (I read something somewhere about PA quaker weddings not being leagal in other states.) Any information anyone else has collected would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I think that our marriage license had to be signed by the following people:
    bride
    groom
    officiant
    2 witnesses

I don't think the same person can play the multiple roles, but I could be wrong.
