Would it be a bad idea/too tiring to have in the same weekend? We have family and friends traveling so we figured it would make sense to do it all in one weekend.
- Saturday: a western reception, 80 and under (close friends, their plus 1s, and family only)
- Sunday: a Chinese banquet dinner, 300+ (invite our distant relatives, our parents can invite their friends, etc)
Also what would be the expected gift giving etiquette if you were invited to both? I'm assuming you only gift once.
