.... What just happend?

I was lurking around on the AA board, and I found a link to ModCloth. 

Aaand I did some impulse shopping.. dammit.

In all fairness, I had been looking for everything that I had purchased.  (Work shirt, casual shirt, summer dress, and nicer summer dress)  But at one point while I was happily shopping around, I thought to myself, "Dammit self!  How did you go from lurking around TK to shopping?!"

Oh well.. now I can be excited about watching my mail for the next few days!

I am currently lusting after a few things myself.  My weakness is Athleta, because I can tell myself workout clothes are practical.  But really, these aren't even practical, just gorgeous:

I'm dying for the pants in light grey, and those black wedge sneakers.  I have CC rewards, too.

A while back, I basically bought only athletic clothes, because I could always justify them. I ended up with way too many workout clothes and not enough nice clothes. And now that I have been promoted, I actually meet with prospective clients rather than current clients, so I do need nicer clothes. I am just so cheap, but then my clothes aren't right or they just don't last, so I am also trying to put pieces into my closet that are really versatile that will last.

Where is Athleta??  I've never heard of it, but is it USA wide??  Might have to take a shopping trip soon since all I wear is workout clothes.

Yeah I am also really trying lately to go for quality over quantity, especially because I am entering a much more dressed-up field (law) than I used to be in (education).  I don't start work for another few months though, so I mostly ogle the work dresses at J. Crew and Tahari from afar.  I lust after them, dreaming of client meetings and court dates, but it would be silly to buy right now.

Athletic clothes, on the other hand, I live in right now and will live in all summer.  I will be studying for the bar full-time this summer and I need clothes that can get me from class to gym and back, without looking like a schlump tramping through Union Square.  If I already have on gym clothes, I feel guilty if I don't go to the gym on my way home.

that happens to me when I go to TJMaxx. I go in looking for home goods and always buy like 3 pairs of work pants and a pair of heels and a workout shirt. I can't say no to retail discounts!!

Yeah, I did that when someone posted their bridesmaids dresses from NY&C. I ordered EVERYTHING in hopes of finding something to wear for engagement pictures. Nope...it's all going back tomorrow and my amex is happy about that.

I'm in fear of ModCloth. I have a huge "love it" list and it's taking all my willpower not to move things from that list into shopping carts.

@WinstonsGirl http://www.athleta.com.  They have several stores including three near me in NYC.  Quality is better than LLL (I think) and price is slightly lower.  I live in their stuff.

@hikebikebemerry I know! I'm a modcloth addict ha. But it was everything I wanted in a dress and you couldn't beat the price either. Soo I'm okay with being crazy
