Dip dye dresses

Has anyone jumped on this trend or seen it done in person before? My wedding is outdoors at the local stables, so I'm already having a rustic, bohemian affair. What are your opinions? The worst? The best?

  • I'm not wild about ombré but would normally say whatever floats your boat. But you're getting married outside and at a stable, no less, so the bottom of that dress will be utterly ruined in no time. Get something that doesn't touch the ground.

  • I like things a little outside the box. Unfortunately this isn't one of them.

  • Good point about the bottom getting dirty at the stable...

The 1950 s tea length dress trend is super cute and flattering. Dolly coutoure will make a dress to your specifications too
  • I don't like when it is a bold colour to white, but prefer a sort of gradual fading.  Also, I wouldn't ever wear it, but if you think you would like to then go ahead.

  • I personally wouldn't try it myself unless I could find a dress at a thrift store I liked or one for under $100 so that way if it doesn't turn out I didn't ruin an expensive dress. Looking at the picture closer I think it's the layer underneath that is dyed and not the top layer because the part of the dress laying on the ground is cream/white as are some of the folds from how the model is standing.

It's a different dress. I don't know if I would call it bohemian, but it could be beautiful. Like others said, with any dress you pick, take into consideration the ground conditions (which could be muddy if there was rain the day before) with the style & length of the dress.
