Wedding Invitations- Send invites when they have told me they wont make it?

Hello, So I had sent save the dates out a couple of months ago and since then have heard a few of my friends and family will not be attending the wedding. Do I still need to send them an actual invitation? Is there a difference since I have heard from friends and family? Any help will be appreciated.

  • I have friends who have told me they will not be able to attend and I haven't even sent Save the Dates yet however I am still planning on sending them a STD to be polite. I would assume I wil also send them an invite? But that is a great question, not sure what the protocol is on that...
  • Yes. Everyone who is sent a STD is to be sent an invitation. Things change, and you never know who might decide they can make it last moment. We had a lot of changed minds between the invitations and RSVP date.

  • Yes, everyone who got a STD should get an invite. We had some people who originally said they would go that now aren't able to.  And we had some people that originally said they wouldn't be able to come that changed their mind and now plan to come.  Things change.  And even if they still aren't able to come, its still nice to get the formal invite.
