NWR: Job hunt

I'm graduating next month with my bachelors in social work...job hunting is really quite terrifying.

Re: NWR: Job hunt

  • I agree. Also graduating next month and having trouble finding a job/internship...but that could be because I'm moving and applying to places around where I'm moving.

  • I hate the job hunt. I'm graduating next month too and I feel like I can't even enjoy it because I don't have a job lined up!

  • I'm still searching....wah

  • Yes!  I'm graduating in May and so far I might have a part-time job for the summer, possibly indefinitely, in my field. But I don't want that. I want a full-time job, not a part-time job plus have to go find another part-time job. I also got a call from the place I worked last summer asking me back but it's an entry-level position that's not in my field, it was a summer tourism job.  Why can't I find something I want to do?!
  • @kimches I taught in "the hood" for two years and so far it's been the best two years of my life.  Please don't stereotype.  Those kids need great teachers-- or even teachers who aren't great yet, just who care about them!-- and the pay is often better in urban areas.

Graduating in two weeks.  No job but I *may* have an interview for a part time job doing something somewhat related to my field.  I find out Monday if I made it to the next round of interviews.  Trying to balance job hunting with studying for finals is my new least favorite thing.

  • I'm applying all over the country to different jobs. If I move far away, it will be really hard on me and FI. Hopefully I find something somewhat close.
