Ive never been to a destination wedding, so i don't know the Etiquette for that...do i need a card box? Do people bring gifts/cards to Destination Weddings?

Re: cards/gifts

  • ive heard of some brides making a card box and putting it on the favors table. Im not sure about guests bringing gifts, I personally would but that is me. If I got a something large I would more than likely send it to their house just so the couple doesn't have to transport it. HTH
  • For our wedding, I did not have a card box. I had a bridal shower two weeks before and got most of the our registry gifts and gift cards at that.  At the wedding, all of our guests brought us cards with gift cards or cash inside and my friend who loves carrying her big purse everywhere and was staying at the same hotel as us, held on to them for us. Guests who could not attend or even were not invited, shipped bigger registry gifts to our home once we returned so that was a nice surprise :)
  • good question!  i was wondering the same thing.  i looked on etsy and they are like 50-80 bucks!  that seems like so much.  i think my friend and i might try to make one.  we really aren't expecting anything though.
We had our dream wedding at Mirage on May 3, 2014!

Holy crap!  A friend gave me her birdcage when I got engaged, I decorated it with ribbon in our colors that cost like $3 on sale, and the birdcages run in the $10-$20 range if I'd needed one.  $50-$80 seems outrageous!
