How Many Hors D'oeuvres Should We Have?

My fiance and I are having around 90 people to our September wedding and I'm not sure how many hors d'oeuvres to have for the cocktail hour.  Cocktail hour will be a standard 1 hour affair as we are having the ceremony, pictures and reception in the same place and we're having a big buffet, candy bar, and cake as well.  If we have only passed hors d'oeuvres, how many different kinds should we get to serve 90 people?

We are also having a cocktail hour followed by a full meal (plated). Our venue coordinator recommended 3-4 pieces for each person.

we have a standard package 5 hours full plated sit down dinner, hot and cold appz cheese and veg table, plus 5 passed appz, full open bar cake dj and centerpeices for 75 pp.

If you really want to save money I would suggest doing away with the passed Hors D'oeuvres as it is sometimes difficult for all guests to get one of each.  I would instead do one station of your choice so that there is a central location where guests can come and get as much food as they wish.  It should end up being a similar cost and guests won't feel as if they didn't have anything to eat at your cocktail hour.
