Secrets Maroma Wedding Reviews Needed

We have been to Secrets Maroma on vacation and loved the resort.  So we decided to book our destination wedding here.  I am wondering if anyone has had their wedding at Secrets Maroma or attended a wedding there?  Any feedback or helpful tips are greatly appreciated.  Also, I am concerned about the resort photographer and hair and make up people.  I see that a lot of people seem to use their own photographer, how does that work?  Are they local or flown in?

Hi @agehman! I am also a SMB bride! Any information you receive would be great. My sister in law and brother have been to SMB and loved it but no one I know has been to a wedding there. One of my best girlfriends is a hair stylist and make up artist so since she is already invited she will be doing my hair and make up for me. I'm not sure if I trust anyone else to touch my hair lol.

Let me know what you find out about the photographer though. I was wondering the same thing!

I went to my aunt's wedding at Secrets Maroma in 2012.. It was great! It is a beautiful resort, I had an awesome time and the food was pretty good from what I remember The only thing I would have to say is there were people that were walking on the beach VERY close to where the ceremony was and there weren't any people from the resort around to patrol the area... also, I got my nails done in the salon and paid A LOT of money for it. I had to have them do it like 3 times because I kept smudging them (they did not dry even though I waited like half an hour). I think it's because they laid the nail polish on super thick plus the humidity... have a great time!

Yah I think I am staying away from the salon for anything except maybe a massage! I'm pretty picky about nails/hair/make-up etc so I'm thinking I will just get a no chip before I leave. They last for so long, even after a full week it looks like you just got them done!
