Comfortable Shoes

Hi everyone! I will soon be shopping for my wedding shoes. What kind of shoes did you wear?  I like the Touch Up shoes, anyone have any other suggestions on comfy shoes to try (or not so comfy shoes to stay away from)? Thanks!

Re: Comfortable Shoes

  • I say wear whatever you love and can stand wearing all day long. I will be rocking a pair of gladiator sandals with my dress! The groom is only an inch taller than me so heels were out of the question.

  • Everybody is different here - what works for one does not work for all.  Get a heel height you feel comfortable in.

  • I love Sofft shoes, but they might not be as dressy as you'd like. Other comfy brands are Clark's, Aerosoles, Miz Moos, Seychelles, Dansko and Born. Cole Haan makes comfortable shoes too, but they're pricey.
  • Thanks for the replies. It's not really about the heels though, just any type of shoe that someone is in love with or would never wear again due to discomfort, etc.
  • I had one pair of silver pump sandals that I bought from Call It Spring for my high school graduation way back in 2007.  They matched with everything, and I found that they were so comfortable, I re-wore them to so many other formal events.  I would still have them now, except the ankle strap finally gave way last year.  I was so bummed.

Looking to get a similar pair for my University convocation next month, and if they are still as comfortable as I remember, then I will probably get a similar-but-different style yet again for the wedding.  (The attached pic is very similar to what I had)
  • Shoes that are the most comfortable shoes ever for one person are going to feel like torture devices to another person. emmyg65 named some brands that sell shoes designed to be comfortable, that could be a good place to start.

I order most of my shoes from Zappos--free shipping and free returns within a year! That means you can buy a few pair of shoes, and as long as you only wear them on carpet, you can return them whenever you want. So, you could wear them all day and see how they felt before deciding to keep them.
