So she decided to throw us the engagement party that I thought we were planning to begin with but whatever anyhow. She comes to us with the news that she booked our party at a Veterans Lodge because the alcohol is included and what not. She says we will have to decorate and get plastic table cloths and plastic bowls and do the centerpieces and have pretzels and chips and all I could hear coming out her mouth was TACKY TACKY TACKY... Is it normal to have an engagment party at a Veterans lodge? What the hell is that about. Also pretzels?? And chips?? Someone kill me now!!! I have the impression that an engagement party should be something much more fancy than a trip to the dollar tree and shop rite!!! Would it be wrong to tell her I don't want her planning it? Or should I just go along with this nightmare or an event and focus on my wedding? Help me because I do not have enough Xanax to figure this out myself.
