I'm trying to do blocks of rooms for Aug. 20...Madison hotels tend to run at least $100 a night and I have some people who just can't afford that. The Howard Johnson on E. Wash in Madison has great deals ($69 a night!), but their sales manager seems a bit scattered. She doesn't even have her own voicemail so when I have left a message with the front desk I haven't gotten a call back and when I've called a few times no one even answered the phone.
Has anyone delt with them before or stayed there? Is it even worth it to spend energy on trying to block rooms with them?
