Classic Rock Father Daughter Dances?

Okay, so dad isn't really into picking his own, but he is a big classic rock fan - ACDC, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd... he also loves Johnny Cash and the Beatles and whatnot. Problem, neither of us are good dancers, so I want to stick with a slow song... and one that is appropriate of course. I don't want to go sappy though. I'm having a really hard time finding one. Any suggestions?

  • You could do Sweet Child of Mine.  It's not slow slow, but you could do a slow dance to it without it being weird.
  • Oh!  Or Forever Young by Rod Stewart.

My daughter and her father are choosing Joe Cocker- You Are So Beautiful To Me. He used to sing it to her when she was a baby. I hope to God he doesn't do the whole twitching Joe Cocker imitation like he used to. ;) Also, it's short, so he doesn't have too long to feel awkward.
  • You could maybe do "Changes" by Kelly & Ozzy Osbourne? I heard this song for the first time when scouring through songs I might like to use, in the event I can somehow have a daddy/daughter dance. It's different, but in a good way, I liked it.
  • How about a Beatles song? Opinions on "All My Loving"?

Or not that one, I meant "In My Life" by the Beatles

I second this. Also, you don't have to be good at dancing. Just have fun, your guests won't be judging you.

  • I struggled to find a song that wasn't totally cheesy too, and my dad actually suggested the one we're going to use!  It's unconventional, but my dad and I are dancing to "A Little More" by Skillet.  If you read the lyrics, it's actually very fitting :)
  • We are using a new orleans jazzy version of "sweet child of mine"
  • We are using "That's How Strong My Love Is", the Rolling Stones version.
