Grand March Ideas Needed

FI and I are really stumped about what to do for our grand march with the wedding party. Does anyone have any good ideas? We'll probably just end up having everyone dance into the room to a fun song. Song ideas anyone?? We want something upbeat and more current.

How about "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas?

Also, just a general question about Grand Marches: When are they usually done? Right before dinner or right when the wedding party arrives at the venue? I feel like weddings I've been to and in, guests have been seated during the grand march at their tables.

Usually, the DJ will make an anouncement asking everyone to find their seats.  After that has happened, the DJ will anounce the WP as they make their way to the Head Table or Dance Floor. 

You could do it when you arrive at the venue, but people might be mingling/talking.

We're actually doing ours about an hour into the dance. That way everyone will already up and dancing!

My FI and I have been talking about our grand march, even before we got enaged. My FI will be graduating from UW-Madison this May. We are both big into Badger sports. So we had an idea to do an old entrance song for the football team called "Ladies and Gentleman," By Saliva, and then once we actually got into the room and doing the grand football tradition of "Jump Around," this would get the entire reception into our grand march!

I was in a wedding last September and we all were introduced to and danced to "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz.  "I Got a Feeling" by BEP is pretty popular too.

FI wants to do our grand march to Kanye West's "Flashing Lights."  He has bought our entire wedding party Kanye shades.
