Has anyone used (either as a bride or a guest) the app Appy Couple? It's a 2 in 1 wedding app and website. Just curious if you thought it was worth the $35 one time fee. My guests and wedding party are all spread out all over, so thought it may be a good option to keep everyone up to date. TIA!

*I didn't know where it "fit" within the board categories so I chose this one. If you think I should move it, just let me know!
Re: Appy Couple Reviews Plz :)
Of course the guests don't have to pay $35 to purchase an app that would be awful. The couple pays the 35, I'm sure for licensing agrements & such.
I'm using appy couple right now for our October wedding. I didn't care so much about the app, I was just really struggling to find a website design that I liked, and they happened to have several that I thought were pretty but not cutesy, fit our theme, looked professional, and were easy to navigate.
I have no idea if any of our guests will download the app, but they don't need to. We put our appycouple website link on our Save the Dates, and lots of people have already used the website for getting travel information. If they are tech savvy, they can download the app on their own (there are instructions on the website), I'm not pushing it with anyone, although I will probably force my parents and little brother to download it because I am already envisioning them calling or texting me all weekend long ("What's the address for the happy hour again?" "Aunt Jane from Iowa wants to go to the beach - where's the nearest beach?" "If we need a cab who do we call?" and on and on). If other guests don't want an app, they can just ignore it and use the website like any normal wedding website.
That being said I use event-type apps ALL THE TIME. If I attend a work conference, I appreciate it when there is an app available. You download it before you leave, you access it for schedule/updates/info while you're at the conference, and you delete it off your iPhone when you head home. I've also used this for beer and food festivals. This is super, super common now. At least, it is in California among people who use their iPhones for everything (read: everyone I know under the age of 40).
I would never think someone was stuck up for having a wedding app, and I would never fear downloading "malware" onto my iPhone. Whenever I use an event app, I'm appreciative it's there, and I would totally use it if I were traveling out of town for a wedding, especially if there were several places to be at different times throughout the weekend.
Wedding Party
Except I think it's free . . . don't quote me on that .
i have been eyeing appy couple and love the format, etc. i certainly don't think that it is stuck up and i am planning on using it for my wedding. we are having a destination wedding and i think it's a great idea for people to use on the go!
My tip is to register for the site and then wait a week or 2 before you pay - they will send you a discount code which brings the cost down a bit.
Hey Guys,
Loving all the feedback. I've been debating between appy couple and wedsite. Does appy couple allow you to put music on the website?
