Save The Dates!!

How early is too early? Have any of you June 2015 brides sent yours out yet? I am so excited to really get the ball rolling, but not sure when?!

I haven't sent mine yet. I really want to put our engagement pictures on them and have yet to take them. The only concern I have is that my guest list seems to constantly change so I'm probably gonna wait until 6 months out or maybe even send them as Christmas cards.

That's a cute idea, but it's so far away! Hmmmmm....my guest list is crazy right now too...not sure if we're going to do engagement pics or not.

We plan on doing Christmas cards save the dates. Just make sure your guest list is final before you send them out. Anyone who gets a save the date has to be invited to the wedding.

We'll either send them out around Thanksgiving, or the first week in january- I don't want them to get lost in the shuffle of holiday cards!

We're looking to send ours in September using our engagement photos. We figure that leaves lots of time and will avoid confusion with regards to our wedding date, as there will be other weddings involving our circle of friends around that timeframe.

We are considering not sending out Save-the-dates. What is the purpose of them when they will all be getting an invitation?

bananasplit472001 the purpose is to give people advanced notice to plan... Which is especially helpful if you're getting married at a busy time, or your guests need to make travel arrangements.They aren't mandatory by any means

we are getting married june 25, 2015, haven't yet sent out save the dates but probably will within the next month - our families and friends tend to be a bit forgetful, so we want to be sure they have a reminder with plenty of advanced notice!

on another note, has anyone considered an email save the date?

I am sendin out my save the dates in august to give our families plenty of time to make arrangements for hotel stays, as we have a lot of family, especially my fiances that live out of state. Then I was planning on doing a second email version of save the dates in january for my more tech savvy guests.

I have been wondering the same thing, my save the dates just came in recently and I love them! But I dont know when ro send them out. My wedding is June 20, 2015. I think im going to have my engagement party sometime in october so im thinking sometime after that I suppose.

Sending ours out in January..I am worried they would get mixed up and tossed out with Christmas/holiday cards! Where is everyone thinking of getting their's printed??

I'm sending mine out probably August...the knot timeline suggests sending STDs 6-9 months before the wedding, and with June being a popular month I want our guests to keep our wedding in mind. I just ordered them! Expecting them mid July.

I sent ours out in June and most people got them a year to the day before our wedding or a few days after. I was so exicted to send them, I couldn't wait!

i am planing on sending mine out beginning of december or beginning of january. My wedding is June 27, 2015. im hoping to get my engagement pics done by the end of the month and making those our save the dates

I just got my save the dates in the mail. I'm in the processing of addressing them and I'm sending them out in the next few days.

I sent mine out over the last month. Most of my family will be coming from another province they need to make arrangements as flights are expensive or if a large group is going to make the long drive. So the more notice they could have the better.

I've contacted certain people by phone and given them a heads-up regarding our date the moment we had the venue booked since most of them were inquiring about it. Some are out-of-towners who needed the notice and many others plan to travel during the month of June/July, but have told me they wanted to work around the wedding date.

I'm planning to send out official STDs to everyone by mid-October since we still need to do our engagement photos and make our wedding website. Yikes!

We have our save the dates here but we're waiting on the hotel confirmation that people can start booking rooms if they want to before we start sending them out...plus, we're still figuring out the guest list...

Ours are half-addressed, still need to get addresses from fiancé's side of the family. I've got a work trip to their city later this week so I'm going to grab the addresses then. Aside from that, I'd like to get the website touched up before they hit the mailbox... I worked on it a lot when I was actually excited about wedding planning, I don't think I've touched it since I came back down to earth and spent most of the year working on my dissertation and dealing with family emergencies.

I'm planning to use an engagement picture on mine, and we're having those taken October 18. I'd liked to have them sent out by the first or second week of December hopefully. I'm planning on making postcard ones from VistaPrint.
