1000 guest wedding!

I just had to share that I am attending a wedding this weekend, and over 1000 guests were invited....she said about 900 RSVP'd!  I am excited to see how it turns out

Can you imagine the reception cost?????  I don't even think I know 1000 people...

Where the heck is the reception? and ceremony for that matter?

It's in a small town in Northern WI called Sugar Camp. Ceremony is at the church in town, and reception is at the Town Hall. 
I will try to post a picture of the place after the wedding!

Wow!  I hope they aren't doing a receiving line!! That would take the whole night!

geeze thats a lot!!!

I had to pass on a venue because they had a min. of 200 guests and I didnt know that many or didnt WANT to invite that many.

She is going to need a HUGE card well and a semi just for gifts!

Wow how the heck does a couple know 1,000 people!  The largest wedding I've ever attended was just under 500 and it was insane.  To the point of zoo-like.  Just way too many people and what seemed like hundreds of little kids.

Sugar Camp isn't a very large town... everyone must be going!

Ok, so it actually turned out great. I don't think there were quite that many people, but the place was still insanely packed! The church was stuffed with people standing in the back, and the hall I think a lot of people actually didnt sit down, but they were more interested in the bar anyway! I will try to post a pic or 2.
If these pictures work, the first is the crowd in the dinner area waiting for the grand march,

2nd is everyone at the bar around 10 pm,


3rd is the dance floor around 1 am!


AND 4th is the bride, because she was absolutely stunning, and I am in love with her dress! You can see the back of it in the first picture!


All in all we had a great time!

No, it's not big at all! The grooms dad owns a large company in town, which my fiance is his cousin and works there as well, so half these guests will be our guests too! Our wedding guest list is at 412 already and it's a year away!

Holy moley!  Can you imagine if you lost your friends - you'd take 4 hours to find them again.
