Where to get Suits for Groomsmen

Hello!

My fiancé and I are going to have our groomsmen purchase suits instead of spending the same amount of money renting a tux. Does anyone have experience with this? Any suggestions on where to purchase? Macys vs. Men's Warehouse vs. Joseph A Banks?

Your groomsmen do not have to all buy the same suit.  A close color is fine.  What color is your FI wearing?

I don't have any experience with buying suits, but if you wanted to you could just choose a colour, as PP suggested.

JCPenney often has reasonably priced suits.  Mens Wearhouse and Jos. Banks often has buy one, get one free sales.  So, you could have two guys go into together and buy suits and split the costs.

My FI needs to get more nice suits for work, so we're opting for suits too.  We're asking our GMs to wear a gray suit they already have and we're renting coordinating vests and ties for them.  So far Jos A Bank appeals to us more than department stores.  Nordstrom is pricey and Macys and JC Penny don't have a wide selection of wool suits, they have a lot of polyester.

All of my FI's current suits are from Jos A Bank, and that's where they plan on going for the wedding as well. They're waiting for a buy one, get two or three deal to all go together. We bought their ties already (The Tie Bar).

My dad is a JC Penney man... put it's been quite some time since he's bought a suit so things may have changed.

Not sure if they have Moore's Clothing for Men in the U.S (I'm Canadian), but they offer a buy 5 and the Groom gets his free offer if the guys are willing to purchase all of the accessories like cufflinks. Their prices are very reasonable, so that's where FI and his boys are planning to go

FI bought his suit at Jos A. Bank. The sticker price said $800, but the actual price was $250 or something. FI looks so freaking good in that suit!

You don't have to wait for the sales at Jos. A Bank! We were waiting too, but when we went in they said they do specials for wedding parties. So we are getting 75% all of the suits!
