Jewelry in food is so odd. I've seen rings in cupcakes, fruit, champagne glasses, all kinds of shit, and I'm always like, "That's nice. Now you have food on your ring and ooky hand residue in some food. Great."

Who is at fault for the burlap worship and may I go beat them? It's scratchy, ugly, leaves fiber everywhere and I've yet to find any that doesn't reek of wet dog rolled in mold.

Yes, sorry. I should have clarified. I meant the lace/burlap combo, not lace itself. I actually love lace when it's used properly.

The thing that bothers me the most... yes, truly the most... is that the chalkboard menu is not CLEAN.  You can see where they wrote several attempts on it; you can even make out what it used to say!   NEATNESS, people, NEATNESS.

It's like they did all of that and then forgot to either really clean it first, or use a wet paintbrush/sponge to clean up any dust-offs.

I would do the same thing with this that I do with random chalkboards - erase and rewrite. This could quickly and easily get much less appropriate than they had intended.

I just really don't like the repetitive use of "grab."  It reminds me of a bratty little kid.  The whiteboard would have been a little better (for me, at least) if it had said "Have a cocktail, take a seat..." etc.
