Affordable Linens

Hi there!

I'm kinda in shock right now over the cost of table linens.  Even overlays are expensive!  Anyone know of any reputable rental places in WI that are affordable, ie, cheaper than BBJlinens?

Thanks!

I'm not sure of the price of that place, but honestly I'm thinking about just buying chair covers and sashes.  It's about $20 more than renting and you can easily sell them to another bride and regain at least 1/2 if not 3/4 of the costs of the linens!

If you are dead set on renting check out Party City in Milwaukee.  They rent out chair covers and sashes for $3/chair or $3.75 with installation.  Sorry I don't know the price of tablecloths...my reception venue provides them.

Here's some websites of wholesale covers:

I hadn't even thought about purchasing the chair covers.  Do you know where they can be purchased?

You can check out both these websites otherwise check out the trash to treasure board through the nest.  I've seen some on there.  Also you can see if your reception venue has any brides that are buy theirs.  Apparently at my venue one bride sold to another recently (too bad I missed out on that!)

Our contact person at our reception hall gave us a money-saver tip: If you're going to do table runners, order chair ties or sashes because they're generally the same thing and ALOT cheaper than table runners. Because of where we're having our reception we have to use BBJ linens.

I am using Lori with The One Stoppe Shop in Oconomowoc. She gave me very reasonable price. She uses a few different linen vendors, such as Carousel and Table Toppers. I would definitely check with her.

Here is a company that will ship to WI.  Chair covers are 1.65 to rent and sashes were .65-.85.  I live in MN but am getting married in WI next year. Maybe check them out, www.memorymakersdecor.com.

You can buy mine when I'm done with them, lol.  I'll have 20 white tablecloths (for long rectangular tabless, 20 silver chiffon overlays, and 144 sage green napkins.  Any time after July 17, 2010.

    I'M WITH JACKIE...
Call Lori at One Stoppe Shoppe.  We were ready to give up and go with the caterer's "standard ivory linens".  Not only did Lori get our caterer to credit us his cost of the standard ivory linens, but she negotatied for what I can't call anything less than our dream linens.

My wife spotted them in a book at our first caterer tasting.  When we heard the first quote as newbie planners, we choked back the diet coke and let go of the idea.  The month before the wedding, there was the fabric book again in Lori's office and within 24 hours the affordable order was placed.

Of course RENT linens, do not buy, and give Lori a call.  (Not to mention, if you don't have a coordinator, Lori IS Imagen Events which can be found at the same location number and address).
