Have you seen this DRESS?

It is Princess Ballgown, A-line.Style T8147
Description: Tulle strapless gown, cinched pleated bodice with drop waistline accented with rosette, full skirt extends into semi-cathedral length train.

I am 100% in love with it, but only a few stores carry the Da Vinci brand. I called Tres Chic and they wouldn't tell me via phone. I have an appt there Wednesday. I know they rip out all the tags, but I have the dress etched in my mind so hopefully I will be able to try it on there. (I am totally nervous even going there on the account of all the bad reviews they have received. But hey- anything for a dress that I love! Especially me, a total tomboy at heart- finding a dress that I love is NOT something that occurs often!)

I also know that HALLELUJAH BRIDAL & PROM, SANDY LEY BRIDAL, & J BRIDALS carry Da Vinci, but I have to go there too to see if they have one to try on.

I hate having to drive so many miles around for one dress, but I LOVE this one SOOOOO much. I am very tempted to just go ahead and order it online, cross my fingers, and hope that I look good in it as I imagine myself to- but you know reality is totally different sometimes! I do searches every week on craigslist to see if I can buy one second hand even. Its just one of those, hard to find dresses- so I thought I would post it here in case a fellow Knotty feel in love with the same dress.

If you've seen it- please let me know where! Thank you sooooooo much!
Sincerely,
Rebecca

I sent out the bat signal to my May 2011 girls - maybe we can find one really similar that is carried closer to you!

well, no luck yet. waiting for just one more store to tell me whether or not they have it.

i ended up canceling my appt at Tres Chic, because my first appt went longer than expected. i did get to go to a bunch of stores though as a walk-in. this was my first day "out there" shopping! i thought i narrowed it down to 2- but when i got home, i did more searching and found 2 more. so i think one more week- then i gotta make a decision! my date is novemeber 5, 2011.

so i was thinking- maybe i should order the Da Vinci online? i found a place that will guaratee satisfaction. i am wary of online, because you never know what can happen! i did find that the horizontal lines (on anotehr dress) did kinda make me look a little bigger than i was. i didn't look fat- but it was a concern of mine.

so i have included dresses that i like. the only one so far i tried on is the first one:

    Mori Lee:

here's the ever popular Vera Wang that I'm going to try on at David's Bridal tomorrow:

and then there's this Mori Lee that I am inclined to try at HartlandBridal:

i am a tom boy so i didn't know if i would have fun trying on dresses, but i really started to feel special. it felt nice.

Hey! idk if i can help you since it would be my boss that would have to find it for you but the place i work carries the DaVinci line in Quincenera so i figure they carry the bridal too... we mainly sell quincenera tho... We also sell Mary's bridal.....idk just a thought.

well, i have called just about every place in the phone back and i told myself today that its just not meant to be.

i was weary of ordering it without trying it on, because the horizonal lines can make me look bigger than i am and although i am not generally a self-conscious person- i think we all want to look our best on our wedding day. (i did try on a few other dresses with the similar horizontal lines and they did make me feel like i was bigger.)

so its okay. i have now narrowed my choices to 3. both the Mori Lee dresses and the Vera Wang pictured above. going back Monday one last time to try on the 3 dresses.... so final descion next week!

i will actually be relieved once the dress is ordered, so i can start making caterer arrangments. wedding is Novemeber 5th, but things are happening so quick!!!

thanks for everyone's help & advice!!!!
