So, I like knowing the lyrics to songs, always have.  Lately, when I look them up, they just seem so stupid, complete nonsense.  I can't even make an argument for stream-of-consciousness b/c they're just so ridiculous.  I just looked up the lyrics for Fancy by Iggy...Izzy, whatever and seriously, they're just dumb.

Beautiful case in point:  my favorite cover band, Postmodern Jukebox (I've talked about them before and you should ALL be listening!!!   ), just did a cover of the Sweater Weather song in an vintage French Pop, Edith Piaf style.  With someone singing the lyrics so you can actually understand them, the lyrics are painfully clear and painfully stupid.  I like it when she switches to French, b/c I don't have to hear it anymore:
