Get ready for "...but Kim and Kanye did it!"

https://celebrity.yahoo.com/blogs/celeb-news/everything-we-know-about-kim-kardashian-and-kanye-west-s-wedding-170106096.html

They will apparently be legally married before their "wedding" in France.

Seriously people. If Kim Kardashian is doing it, it has trainwreck and WRONG written all over it.

(I'm clearly procrastinating/bored at work.)

  • And don't forget for them to be legally married in France, they have to have 2 more ceremonies. Who in the world needs to be legally married in 2 separate countries, unless they are going to bless us and move to France permanently. We can only hope.

So not looking forward to bride's using this excuse.

  • I'm pretty sure this is the best reason possible to never have a PPD.

  • In their defense... wait did I just say that?.   In France you have to have separate  civil and religious ceremonies.

It's been reported they need another civil ceremony in France too.  That doesn't make any sense to me, but whatever.

They are not trying to hide anything, so its all good to me.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

This is very true as for many countries in Europe.

But I also think they are then having another "wedding" back home.  I think the grand total comes to like 4 or something.

But in the end, anyone who wants to do things just like Kim and Kanye have bigger issues then just having a PPD.

  • Let's not disgrace our boards by posting about them LOL

  • Could someone someone someone PLEEEEEEEASE explain to me why in the ever-loving fucking hell they need two ceremonies in France IF THEY'RE ALREADY FUCKING LEGALLY MARRIED IN THE U.S.?!?

I understand the two ceremony things for normal Europeans. I get that.

But if they are already legally married in the US and the French ceremony is merely symbolic, why do they need a legal ceremony in France?!?

Also, how can they have a legal ceremony in France if they're already legally married?!?

    Wine. I need wine.

    Million Dollar question.

I though France's residence requirements were 40-45 days?  So  I get the US wedding in that case, but that doesn't answer how they need the france one if they already had a US one.

I thought  they were in the states last week so how could they meet the residency requirements?

  • Kimye is living proof that money cannot buy you class, sense, or taste. Or smarts.
  • "Kim and Kanye" did it could possibly be the worst excuse in the world. This needs to stop immediately.

...but, if it's on TV, it must be OK, right?  I think I'll have a PPD with a big fat gypsy wedding dress, even though I'm not Roma.  Won't that look wonderful? All the men will wear tuxedos with electric Christmas tree lights on the glow-in-the-dark vests, and I want peacocks and a butterfly release.  I'll hire professional dancers and dress them up as my bridesmaids, so they'll all look good.  Then I'll perform a love song to my FI, er, I mean DH, and the dancers will be my back-up.  I can't afford an open bar, so we'll just have a cash bar.  People will understand.  There will have to be a five hour gap, of course, but nobody will mind because I'm speshul and they all love me.
I sure hope my guests pay attention to my gift registry that I put in my invitations, because I want to go on a cruise, and the Honeyfund will pay for it.

  • Didn't someone say he owned an apartment in France?  Call it an extended vacation and go to France for a month and a half, for crying out loud.  You're rich, you can afford it.

(Not excusing the whole PPD-ness of it, even if they did do that.)

The answer to your question: the first two bolded need's should actually say want. THAT is why they're having two ceremonies in France. They just want their wedding to be a French event.

The third bolded need is appropriate

  • If it's anything the Kartrashian Kult dreams up, it's a bad idea.

When you make Britney Spears look sane and rational, you are too messed up.

First "but Kim did it" is getting asked for proof of a nastier than usual sex tape released by their mother. Then they can use the claim.

    I will still mock them.
