Microsoft Access Question

I'm not super familiar with this program.  I know how to do what I want to do and that's kind of it.

So, I have a database, where I make tables that are basically fields for a mail merge.  Right now, I open my old table, copy it, close it, make new table, then paste old info in and type over it.  I do that so I don't have to re-set up all of the fields.

If anyone knows: Is there a way to just have the new table be created with the fields already in place?  Basically have it using a template somehow?

You can copy and paste a table in MS Access.  When you paste it, you will be asked to name it and it will prompt you if you want to just copy the format (no data) or format and data.  I work with Access pretty regularly, so if I misunderstood your question, I can try again.

That's what I'm doing now.  

I just wondered if there was some way to tell Access, do the same table fields every time I create a new table on this database.  I don't know why I need a shortcut around cutting and pasting, but I do.

I'm not familiar with access, but can you c&p your table as you do now, delete the info inside and then save it as a blank template so you can just pull that blank one up every time and do a save as each time you have new info?

I guess all that does is save you from opening an old table to c&p every time.
