My grandparents (non-blood related) raised me for 7 years before I was adopted. I call them every week and when I called earlier this week my grandpa wasn't feeling well. He had the chills and couldn't stay warms at all. It sounded like he had the flu. Then today my grandma called saying he was in the hospital and has been all week. I guess he went in the day after I called. They think it might be something with his pacemaker. She won't know until tomorrow if he can leave the hospital and IF he can, he still can't go home right away. He would have to go to a rehab facility for 2 weeks for injections and and to be watched for a while to he can recover.
UPDATE:
He is still in the hospital. He has an infection in his blood and they are trying to figure out where it is coming / came from so they know how to properly treat it and if it's something that could happen again. He is frustrated that he's still in the hospital (and so is my grandma) because they told him 2 times already he could go home the next day only to have them say "sorry nope".
