because those don't look stupid at all.
  • They're big on Pinterest, along with the idea of buying paving stones and having them set out where your friends are supposed to stand if they're in your WP.

Because common sense -- which would say don't wear heels to an outdoor wedding -- isn't common anymore.

  • They've been out for awhile now.  They usually won't show in pictures b/c of the grass, but I've always wondered how easy/hard they are to take on and off.

I saw glittery ones too...which just stepped it up to silly.

I can see their use, but I can't imagine how annoyed I'd be to waste $15 on plastic because of muddy grass.
  • I will be wearing them because my ceremony is outdoors on grass and I feel much more elegant and statuesque in heels. I don't think they're stupid. My BMs were told they can wear any shoes they want, but at least two have opted to wear heels with the stoppers for the ceremony portion.

Uhm. Yep. Those look elegant, all right.

I wasn't even thinking wedding use.  I was picturing the OC women sporting those at a "swanky" garden lunch.
  • I have heard many people say that they don't work.  Honestly if you are going to have an outdoor wedding either A) learn to walk on the balls of your feet, B) wear wedges or C) wear flats.

I do think having the paving stones for your wedding party to stand on is a good idea especially if some of them decide to wear heels without really thinking about the ground they will be needing to stand on.

Weddings on grass are the reason God had someone invent wedges.

  • looked at the last of the images - if i pay $700-$3000 for a pair of Louboutins, I'm sure as all hell not wearing them to an outdoor wedding with a $10 piece of plastic stuck to the bottom.
