Bridal Party Help

I need some help/ideas for our wedding party.  I have 3 girlfriends and my fiance's 2 sisters that I would like to stand up on my side.  Fiance has 4 friends and my 3 brothers to stand up on his side.  This leaves 5 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen, 3 flower girls and one ring bearer.  Our thoughts are to have the first 2 groomsmen also be usher's and one walk my mom down the aisle, and then the other walk his mom down the aisle, and then make their way up to the front.  The next 5 groomsmen would walk the 5 bridesmaids down the aisle.  I know that it's my wedding and I can really do whatever I want :) but was just hoping to get some input on it.  Also, we are inviting about 120 people to the wedding, so it will probably end up being 100 people.  Thoughts?

like u said its your wedding and you can do whatever you want :)

I read somewhere that for every 50 people you should have one attendant (just what i read, and i only mention it because you mentioned how many ppl you are planning to invite).

with that being said, I thinkyour idea sounds perfect. Seems like you really know which people you want to stand up on your special day, i think its great!

All of our guys helped with ushering.  Then before the wedding started all the guys just stood at the front of the ceremony site with H.  The girls walked down solo.

I really like your idea of using 2 of the groomsmen as ushers and walking the mom's down the aisle.  We might have uneven bridal parties also and I wasn't sure how we would make it work out but I think this is a great idea and they can still stand up front too.

I've seen a few posts and articles (I can't remember where I've seen them though) about uneven bridal parties, I think it is something that is becomeing more acceptible.

Or your brother's could be on your side and his sisters on his side....it is becoming more common to have guys on the bride's side and women on the groom's - it is all about having the people that are important to you on your side.

I think the usher idea is great...thats what we did- 6 groomsmen, 6 bridesmaids, and 2 ushers.  If you have more you would like...have them do a reading or something?
