My cat is crazy for refried beans

My little cat, Stella, apparently is just nuts for refried beans from my favorite taco place.  Neither kitty will ever eat human food normally, and she is super picky (doesn't even like wet cat food!) but for some reason when we get beans, Stella is just crazy for them!  I just caught her licking the lid from the takeout container, then knocked it off the dining table onto the floor, then jumped down to keep on munching.  Really????  She's such a little lady most of the time, I find this hilarious.

We haven't had a furbaby thread in a while.  What funny things do your pets do?

There's probably lard in the beans.

One cat begs for corn chips and rice cakes, and she also likes anything like bread or certain cereal. The other one likes sweet potatoes and greens.

My kitty, who I got to see this weekend (yay!), plays fetch with balls and mice. She also eats most human foods as long as you hand feed her. She shreds alll of her toys. And even if she is the devil, I love her to death.

My kitty loves yogurt. Dairy isn't good for cats, so I try to make sure she doesn't get it very often (and just a little when she does).

Another one from the corn chip loving cat. She mostly just chirps or trills, and if she makes a noise that actually can be described as a "meow," it usually means "Help!" and either her litterbox is too dirty for her dainty baby paws or my other cat is shut into a room and she wants us to let him out. Today she mewed "Help!" because I recently switched to a litterbox with a swinging door flap on it and she couldn't figure out how to get inside. The sad part is, she used this litterbox for months before I tried a different model for a while. She had trouble with it when I first got it too though... she's not always terribly bright.

My cat also doesn't like wet cat food or any human food.  Except for parmesan cheese.  She loves that stuff and will lick the residue off the top of the shaker if you don't close the lid.  She talks back when you talk to her.  And she lays on my face when she wants attention and needs to make sure I can't get away.

My cat, Maggie, knows how to look cute.  When you have something she wants to eat, she will do these pathetic, adorable meows and stretch in front of you.  She likes cheese, meat, fish, etc.
Cali, my other cat, doesn't like treats except for real tuna or salmon (the kind a human would eat, not canned cat food).

My cat wants to eat everything we eat. She really wants cheese whenever I'm slicing or shredding some. She will stand between me and the counter and stretch up trying to reach the counter to get the cheese. I think she has pica because she also want to eat non-food stuff. Yesterday I put my yoga clothes in a lululemon bag, went to the bathroom, and when I came back she had eaten the handles off the bag.

My cats nor FI's cats are interested in human food, one of my cats likes to sniff and check out what we are eating but doesn't eat it when we offer it to him.  One of my cats gets really excited whenever FI makes cereal.  FI does this only on the weekends, the cat could care less about any other food FI makes- just when he makes cereal.  He doesn't even get any milk or anything so I don't know why the cat gets excited over it.

One of our cats eats peas.  Well, the inside of peas.  He puts the pea in his mouth, squeezes out the yummy inside, and spits out the shell.

I don't know how he figured this out but he freaking loves peas.

The kitty I lost this year (he is my avi) loved corn. He would never beg for human food unless it was corn. He couldn't get enough of it.

My cat loves to chew on plastic bags.  I don't let her eat them, and she doesn't try to, just likes to chew on them.  She also loves to groom my dog.  The dog is obsessed with being under the covers if he's in bed, and occasionally licks walls.  He learned that trick from my mom's dog who is a total weirdo.

Kapuchee likes to play fetch with straws. Sometimes if we open a closet door there are tons of straws behind them. If we leave a cup out with a straw in it, he will probably knock it over to get to the straw. Both cats love human food, they are the worst. Kap will get on our shoulders when we are eating, and Pesto will lurk in case we leave anything unattended. Pesto also loves to sunbathe. When we leave the curtains open, he sprawls out wherever there is a sliver of sunshine.

My cat Buddy likes to sleep specifically to the left of me, on the fitted sheet ONLY. Like, I have to make room for him every night if he decides he wants to sleep on the bed. If you point at him, he meows, he loves string cheese and pepperoni. He used to like to play fetch when he was younger. Oh and he also meows before making biscuits. He also likes to sit squarely on one sheet of paper if it's on a table.

Both my cat and dog will eat anything, the puppy especially seems to like veggies. Both of them may have a slight drinking problem; kitty will lick up what ever beer is sitting on the top of a can or will lick the rim of the bottle, our dog on the other hand will knock over the beer just to slurp it up. FI and I try keeping it out of their reach, but occasionally they still get to it. 

Our dog is also a little stoner, as soon as he can smell FI smoking he comes running into the room and chases the smoke around trying to lick it.

Reading all the pet things has made me realize one thing about the ladies on this board. Our pets all have us trained.

My mom's dog is such a little homicidal maniac. She loves to play fetch with her stuffed animal toys, and one time when she was bringing the toy back to me she stopped and just tore the head off the animal and then happily brought it back to me to continue our game. I was like "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING AND WHY?!" It was just so odd of her to feel the sudden need to dismember this poor creature. Haha.

My mom finds stuffed body parts lying around the house all the time. And then the stuffing guts get all over the house. The dog has an obsession with heads: constantly tearing faces off, heads off, putting ears, etc.

She's totally sociopathic, because she's so adorable and LOVES playing and petting and seems like the sweetest most lovable thing ever.

Too funny-- my other cat HATES peas.  We had this natural wet food for him that was basically shredded chicken with peas and carrots in a can.  He would eat everything else, and leave the peas in his dish!  We eventually switched to the chicken and sweet potato flavor, and he'll eat that right up.  But try to give little Mr. Fatty Jack a green vegetable.... not having it.
