Projector at the hall

Hi ladies,
First time I post. So went to go check in with our reception hall today (rockleigh) and we mentioned we had same day edit for video so our lady says that the projector is extra. We were surprised since we have the Uplighting package. Anyway we call up the company in charge and they say it's 550 for 2 hours. That's ridiculous!! We already dished out extra money for all these extra features with our photo and video vendors. Is anyone else running into this problem?? If so what did you guys do what kind of prices did you guys get??

I would appreciate help since no one I know had this problem and I'm just not sure how much something like this should cost even though the project is already installed and it's just a matter of pushing a button!! So frustrating

Check your contracts that you signed? I'm sorry that this is a surprise (and not a good one either). Maybe you can use your video at the rehearsal dinner or something. My videographer offered to supply a projector but we declined. Check on other options

Why do you need a projector? I would be so bored if I had to sit through a picture montage at a wedding.

We got the same day edit option with our videographer saw it before at a wedding really cute and usually during dinner or the end to kind of show the morning and just have pictures streaming throughout the night.

It's just so frustrating when people hear wedding they see two money signs!

The one in the hall has it installed already so it looks so much nicer than one on a stand

Seconded.

I don't like these at all, even when just playing in the background.  But at least if it's in the background, your guests are not a captive audience.

Can you talk to your photog about just scratching this service?  Will they still edit your contract?  An extra $550 (for something that will at best be background, and at worst be annoying to guests) is a lot of money.
