AW: The lil Dude is here!

Hi all!

I wanted to share that Alexander Michael joined the party very early on Saturday morning. Labor was pretty much what I expected (screaming, sweating, crying, etc) And while he was a huge baby, 9 lbs, 2oz, thankfully he was not the size of a jackfruit.

We are exhausted but we love him more than bacon.

Thanks for all the support and encouragement over the past months! Knotties are the best, dont let any speshal snowflakes tell you otherwise.

I dont know how comfortable I feel posting pictures of him on the internet, so please accept this picture of my fur baby breaking in the crib for Alex.

  • Congrats!!! Love the name, and I'm very glad he wasn't the size of a jackfruit!

Also, thanks for the real-life take on labour. I'm sick of these celebrities who are all like, 'It's totally natural and doesn't hurt!' Yeah, right.

    Welcome, welcome, welcome little dude!!

Oh it hurt like hell. And still does. I also dont look like those celebrities do after birth. My stomach is not flat, it looks like a deflated tire. I am hoping that changes.

Thanks for all the love, everyone!

@buttercup1958 I dont really know what he is. We rescued him so our best guess is he is some combo of poodle/ bichon/ lhasa.

Thanks for all the love, I am sure I will be lurking for awhile since I am too tired to type.

  • Yaaaaay congrats!!! At least you weren't the woman at Boston Medical who just had a 14 pounder! C-section was imminent but still- yikes!

Thanks for all the love, everyone!

To make you feel better, most of those celebrities either have all the money in the world to hire personal trainers and people to help take care of their children so they can work out a lot, or they have plastic surgery or both.

Also, with your stomach, it will shrink!  Remember all those news stories saying Princess Catherine looked like she was still pregnant when they left the hospital after she gave birth?  It's because her uterus took a while to shrink back down.  And she had the guts to show what her body was actually like after birth. (Those news stories were terrible.)

    It will shrink!

    And congrats!
