Favors

Cakepops?

Hi guys!

So for our wedding on July 19th, I wanted to do cakepop escort cards thinking they could also double as favors.  They will be wrapped nicely in plastic so they can be saved for later if guests so choose.

We are also having a photobooth & guests will receive their pictures with my & my FI's name and date on them.  I wanted to do something in addition to the photobooth because I was worried that older guests like my grandparents might not use the photobooth.  What do you all think? Would you all enjoy this?

Re: Cakepops?

  • Oh yeah, I love cake hehe.... my FI and I are also planning on having a photobooth at our reception for a similar favor option. Our wedding will be fairly small, and is all really close family and friends, so we are thinking that since a seating chart isn't really necessary, the photos could serve a double purpose, favor & place card. We are also looking at other options in addition to the photobooth, because like you said, some guests may not be keen on throwing on a fuzzy hat and snapping pics.

Yes. Yes, I would enjoy this.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I think you are good with that. The guests who aren't into the photo booth will enjoy the cake pops

I love Cake Pops! So yes, I would enjoy it.

Will this be inside? Otherwise, the icing could melt off.

It shouldn't be icing on the outside, it should be chocolate bark, which is pretty stable up to about 80-90 degrees. It's more sturdy than real chocolate. Only trouble I've had is if there's the smallest gap somewhere in the chocolate, like up near the stick, as the cake/frosting mixture inside warms up it splooges up out of the hole. :-p
