Happy Birthday Addle!

Our house guest/childhood friend of DH's/cooking for DH this summer  just grilled up some porterhouse, shrimp, lobster, veggies and potatoes.  AMAZING.  Now the boys are outside talking about their up coming season.

seriously unexpected.   The porterhouse was given to them from a vendor to try.  We went to the store and there was some random raw seafood setup that "D" was all about.   They just grabbed some veggies and the rest was history.     All I did was eat and threw a few dishes in the dishwasher.  It was all on the grill so little clean-up.

We are watching the Rangers game and FI is editing our wedding program.  I'm still feeling crappy and I wish I was better already...

My night has taken a scary turn. Got a call from my BFF on my drive home - she's a new mom of twins, sitting at the Austin airport coming home from her first business trip since they were born & she just found out her brother and young nephews have been in a serious car accident. So Ive rushed over to her house to watch the babies so her DH can go to the hospital. Poor girl is stuck on a plane, freaking out without any information. If you pray, please say prayer for this family.

Went out for Chinese with FI and DS, and now simultaneously catching up on Hell's Kitchen and trying to soothe little man's teething pain. Poor Bubba

WHINE TIME

Partner decided to go to the liquor store and asked if I wanted anything from there or CVS next door. I asked for Tootsie Rolls, since they're surprisingly low cal for candy.

He just came back with Milk Duds because they were out of Tootsie Rolls (?!! HOW). I'm upset because he didn't call me to ask what he should do if there were no Tootsie Rolls. Milk Duds are reeeeally high calorie, like ... a box is 600 calories.

I WANT TO EAT THEM but oh my god I am tracking calories and I really don't have enough left for Milk Duds.

We were supposed to vend at an event tonight but it was cancelled for rain. FI and I watched last night's BBT, then walked over to the church fair that's going on down the street from us. We met an awesome jewelry vendor whose husband does printing and can do a banner for us at a really reasonable price and we're trying to get her into a big event that we vend at where she'd do really, really well. Then we ate awesome food (pulled pork for me, kielbasa for him) before chowing down on funnel cakes.

Now I want to claw my own eyes out because I am so tired from being out late last night and not taking a nap this afternoon.

lyndausvichibiyui - happy to report good news! BFF's brother & kids are okay! Apparently a kid ran a red light and t-boned the care, pinning brother in. He had to be taken to the hospital, but luckily only had some bruised ribs and a minor confusion, but no broken bones. Very, very lucky. And BFF made it home to her kids so all is well with their family again. Phew!
