Saturday night lazies

I just had to post this pic of our cat Jack "holding the remote" for Fi.  My boys are so cute.

We had a great day before our current lazy state, though!  We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and went to the Botanic Gardens.  I'm exhausted (so much walking) but it was super fun.  Some couch time is definitely deserved.

We ended up not doing the event we were planning to be at today because of the potential for rain. Good thing since it was raining sideways two separate times this afternoon. We laid around on the couch watching crappy TV instead. I just finished printing all the addresses for my invitations, and am about to dig into the Samoas ice cream I bought today.

I'm pacing around because we have to leave super early tomorrow morning.  FI's grandmother is not doing well, so we are driving out there tomorrow.

I really should be sleeping, but I'm just worrying about what to say to FMIL, FGIL, etc. (I know that making sure her son get his butt there means more to her than anything that I could ever say, but I always worry about saying the "right" thing)

I wish that we could have just driving out there tonight- alas, FI working evenings puts a damper on that.

Prior to finding out about FI's grandma, I had a good day (which I feel horrible saying).  I worked and then went with my boss to go pick up a mid-life-crisis car.  It definitely provided for an entertaining afternoon.
