Finally back on the wedding planning bandwagon!

I've been so overwhelmed with a ton of stuff going on lately that I've lost all interest in wedding planning. We met with our venue Friday night and their coordinator made me feel endlessly better!

Since Thursday, I've gotten so much done:

1. Venue answered tons of questions
2. Realized that my fancy centerpiece ideas sucked and have decided to go with a cheaper, easier option (thank you, Costco!)
3. Ordered a cake
4. Finished registering
5. Finished planning our "meet the family" barbecue- though I haven't actually done any real work on it yet
6. Found the paperwork that FI lost about tux rentals
7. Bought fabulous heels to wear with the dress- I had something that would have worked but they're nude Cole Haan slingbacks that I got seriously clearanced...

I'm starting to think I might be getting back on track!

Yay! Also, am suuuuper excited about the shoes. I was much, much pickier about my shoes than my dress. Pics?

That's great! I am so happy that you are back on track with planning your wedding.

I second Phira's call for shoe pics. I love shoes and the ones you described sound great.

  • A picture would have made sense. They're at home but I'm pretty sure it's this pair: http://www.colehaan.com/chelsea-open-toe-pump-sandstone-paten/D39891.html?dwvar_D39891_color=Sandstone Paten#cgid=womens_shoes_pumps&start=10

They're a bit high by my standards (I never wear heels) but they're remarkably comfortable. I found them at the Off 5th outlet for $85! I think I'll be able to use them a lot and, better yet, they make the length of my dress perfect so I don't have to get them shortened! If they start to get to be uncomfortable, I have a pair of comfy platform sandals that I can switch into. I definitely didn't need to buy shoes for the wedding but they make me goofy happy!

I played with the idea of strappy sandals or a shocking blue heel but these seemed practical. Plus, I love Cole Haan heels!

I am drooling over those shoes. If I didn't have enough heels (can someone have enough heels?) I would totally buy those.

Those are so cute! I wanted Cole Haans for my wedding shoes, but since my dress is navy blue, it was really difficult for me to find anything I liked that I'd be comfortable in. I ended up with cute flats from Earth that are soooo comfy. But I'm still gunning for some CHs next time I need black pumps for work.
