I HATE "Sad" after reading that. Seriously!? What I don't understand is why her Sad's poor sister continues to invest any emotional energy into the relationship with her at all or why she would want to spend time with such a judgemental group of douchebags. Probably because the uninvited sister seems like a decent person who wants a relationship with her sibling and doesn't understand that her sister is just a monumental ass.

I'm also at a loss as to why the sister even WANTS to spend time with her judgey-pants bitchy sisters. It seems like not spending time with them is no great loss to her life.

I can understand it. She's probably been trying for years to mend relationships with these awful relatives, and she's just exhausted and at the end of her rope

I'm happy "Ask Amy" doesn't tolerate speshul snowflakes. And I feel for the excluded sister- having family exclude or reject you for whatever reason is a painful experience :-(

I can't believe Sad's husband threatened to call the cops on the sister if she didn't stop crying and leave.  Unless there were threats being made (which I'm sure Sad would have mentioned) that was an overreaction of epic proportions.
